How I work
The beauty of small weddings and elopements is how much more relaxed the day is. I like to capture your celebrations as they unfold, preferring to respond to the moments as they happen and not disturb the natural flow of things. I usually start my time with you by capturing a few location pictures and then the last bits of your “getting ready”. The remainder of the time is taken up by the ceremony (the important bit!) and following that we tend to go for a wander around the grounds, where I will take some natural and relaxed portraits of you both.
If you have invited close friends and family to your wedding, time will be set aside for portraits with them, and of course there will be plenty of spontaneous pictures of you all whilst I capture your day.
I’ve always liked vibrant colour therefore I edit my photos with a warm and colourful style that changes slightly to match with the seasons. I like to use plants and flowers to frame pictures so that I create a softer, breezy look to a lot of my images. I work with natural light wherever possible and have learnt over the years to judge carefully where to position you so that the light is flattering
When it is time for me to leave I hope you will have enjoyed the photography part of your day. My aim is to create a beautiful record of your wedding, one that evokes the emotions you felt and the moments you experienced. Your images will also give you a sense of the season in which you married, winter trees or summer flowers, sun or rain, it is all part of your unique day.
