As a wedding photographer in Devon one of my favourite venues for an intimate wedding or elopement wedding is Millbrook Estate. Set amongst forest, lakes and stunning landscaped gardens, Millbrook Estate is a an absolute paradise. Specialising in small weddings with a maximum of 4 guests in the Summer and up to 8 guests in the Winter I am very lucky to be one of their preferred suppliers so having photographed many weddings there for the last 4 years I can hand on heart say that the team deserve every one of the awards they have won. If you check Millbrook Estate out on Trip Advisor you will see that they have never had anything but 5 star reviews!
What I love most about Millbrook is the beauty of the grounds. As a photographer my heart is in the countryside so to find a venue that has a wealth of unspoilt and varied land around it is a real treat. If you marry at Millbrook in the Summer then chances are you will be able to have your ceremony outside with the woods as your backdrop. In the Winter the summerhouse becomes a snug retreat, with a roaring log fire to warm you as you exchange your vows. After the ceremony a gentle walk around the estate gives ample opportunity for many beautiful views of the landscape, perfect settings for your wedding photos. Often couples bring wellingtons to wear to add to the fun and spare pretty wedding shoes. There is no perfect time to marry at Millbrook, the light and the landscape changes with the seasons and each season brings its own beauty.
I cannot praise Millbrook Estate enough so if you are considering an elopement or just a small intimate wedding day then you have just found the perfect place to marry.
I have been looking forward to sharing this Millbrook Estate wedding on my blog. As you can see beautiful Shona was a joy to photograph, here are a few of my favourites from Shona and Adam’s wedding day at Millbrook Estate in Devon.
My last wedding before an Autumn break was at the beautiful Millbrook Estate. When I first spoke to Gill on the phone she explained that she wanted the photography to not be too formal but to capture the important parts of the day in a natural, candid way – also conveying the beauty of Millbrook. As […]
I was so pleased when Sara and Charlotte asked me to be their wedding photographer at Millbrook Estate in Devon. Both Sara and Charlotte had spent a lot of time before the wedding setting up the retreat and woodlands with an Alice in Wonderland Theme, decorating the tables for an afternoon tea in the style of […]
I never cease to find Millbrook Estate enchanting, the beautiful grounds and changing seasons provide such a fabulous backdrop to the intimate weddings held there that it almost feels otherworldly. Originally Hannah and Colin had intended to runaway to marry but in the end they wanted their parents to be with them. The ceremony was […]
I adore runaway weddings at Millbrook, it feels such an honour to be photographing such a private and personal celebration. When I arrived with Edwina and Paul my first word was WOW, Edwina looked stunning, I loved her style and knew she would look amazing in the photographs. Edwina had asked for a old, vintage […]
