As a wedding photographer in Devon one of my favourite venues for an intimate wedding or elopement wedding is Millbrook Estate. Set amongst forest, lakes and stunning landscaped gardens, Millbrook Estate is a an absolute paradise. Specialising in small weddings with a maximum of 4 guests in the Summer and up to 8 guests in the Winter I am very lucky to be one of their preferred suppliers so having photographed many weddings there for the last 4 years I can hand on heart say that the team deserve every one of the awards they have won. If you check Millbrook Estate out on Trip Advisor you will see that they have never had anything but 5 star reviews!
What I love most about Millbrook is the beauty of the grounds. As a photographer my heart is in the countryside so to find a venue that has a wealth of unspoilt and varied land around it is a real treat. If you marry at Millbrook in the Summer then chances are you will be able to have your ceremony outside with the woods as your backdrop. In the Winter the summerhouse becomes a snug retreat, with a roaring log fire to warm you as you exchange your vows. After the ceremony a gentle walk around the estate gives ample opportunity for many beautiful views of the landscape, perfect settings for your wedding photos. Often couples bring wellingtons to wear to add to the fun and spare pretty wedding shoes. There is no perfect time to marry at Millbrook, the light and the landscape changes with the seasons and each season brings its own beauty.
I cannot praise Millbrook Estate enough so if you are considering an elopement or just a small intimate wedding day then you have just found the perfect place to marry.
The best thing about winter for me is the chance to blog a few weddings that got missed from last Summer. I am not a gifted writer and having dyslexia makes it doubly hard as I agonise over what to write and how to express it. I wanted to blog Chrissy and Lou’s same sex […]
Jim and Lou’s elopement wedding at Millbrook Estate in Devon was a joy to capture. I adore photographing elopements or what are often called ‘runaway’ weddings at Millbrook Estate. I can slow down a little in how I approach the photography as never is it more important to be unobtrusive when the only guests at […]
If you regularly read my blog you will know how much I adore dogs at weddings! It has been wonderful lately as I seem to be attracting more dog friendly weddings. Maureen and Bob contacted me at the beginning of the year to tell me about her plans for a runaway wedding at Millbrook Estate […]
I have had so many beautiful winter weddings this year and Sonya and Stephen’s wedding was no exception. Celebrated at Millbrook Estate in glorious sunshine, they shared their day with their 3 children. Playful and loving would be the perfect words to describe this couple. Sonya was very sure that she wanted her photos to […]
Last week I had the pleasure of photographing Sarah and Paul’s runaway wedding at Millbrook Estate, the day was shared with their young son Charlie who was an absolute star (and also a real character). What I love about Millbrook Estate is that it is magical year round, with each season I have something to […]
