Colyton is a small town in East Devon. The first time I visited Colyton was to view the church of Saint Andrews before a wedding. The little town has more of a village feel and is very picturesque in part due to the flint stoned cottages dotted around the square that seem to glow in the sunlight.
St Andrew’s church itself is very large which gives good scope for finding a position to photograph the ceremony without being too intrusive. To the side of the church is a beautiful old wooden door from which the bridal party exit (the guests out of the main door) this allows the photographer to hold the bridal party for a few family photographs before they join the main guests.
