With most weddings taking place in the Summer months to maximise the chance of a beautiful sunny day, the reality of living in the UK is that the weather can be pretty changeable. Wet Weddings are unavoidable but with the right attitude the rain need not spoil your day! As a wedding photographer I encourage my clients to embrace the chance of rain by being prepared with colourful wellingtons and pretty umbrellas in neutral shades. I mention neutral umbrellas as coloured brollies can throw an unflattering colour cast onto your face which can spoil the photos. When planning your wedding venue try to pick somewhere that has sufficient space inside to house your guests during the reception and possibly an empty room that you can move in to for the formal family photos.
