Being a dog owner myself I am a huge advocate of dog friendly weddings. For some couples their hound is a part of the family and being without him or her on their wedding day would feel wrong. With an increasing number of hotels and wedding venues becoming “dog friendly” there is no excuse to leave your dog at home. For the wedding photographer having a pet at a wedding makes for some wonderful photo opportunities as couples are much more relaxed with their four legged companion around and often open up to the camera much more. Distracted by whatever their dog is up to couples are often intent on getting him or her to pose for the camera or bemused whilst their hound misbehaves. Whenever I have a wedding enquiry letting me know a dog will be coming a long I am always excited! Especially when the hound in question has been given the task of ring bearer.
