Hello, my name is Becca Roundhill, I have been running a successful business as a Devon wedding photographer now for 12 years and I can honestly say it has been a joy to record so many beautiful wedding days during that time. My background in photography started as a childhood hobby which quickly developed into academic study and I obtained an Honours Degree in Photography, and then further Post-Graduate Qualifications. Since then I have been able to develop my passion into a profession, though I remain an avid photographer even on my ‘days off’! Having worked in different areas of the field, I now specialise in wedding photography.
My usual style of photography tends to be relaxed and informal so that I am ready to capture the spontaneous moments of your wedding day. My dear friend Emma recently described my wedding images as timeless and natural which is exactly what I look to achieve in the set of photographs I capture for you. Although my approach is predominantly reportage, occasionally I might direct things a little in order to work with the best light and ensure that my portraits of you are flattering. The emphasis is on keeping you relaxed so that the photography adds to the pleasure of your wedding day and doesn’t intrude. I always approach photographing your guests with a warm and friendly manner as my people skills are as important to me as my photographic skills.
From 2017 onwards I will be focusing more on elopement weddings and small, intimate weddings, keeping a number of my Saturdays free for those last minute runaway couples. I will still be available for the big weddings but by booking a few less I can expand the other areas of my photography such as family portraits. As ever I take great pride in my business, regularly investing in the best equipment and in high level training. Professional and artistic development will always remain a priority for me.
Whatever your needs, I hope that the images on this website give you a sense of my pleasure in working with people. It is a privilege to be with couples on such an important day and to take photographs that they will treasure and enjoy for years to come.
